MAJOR DRAWBACKS OF AIXAM CARS
Aixam is a popular mini-car manufacturing firm, which has survived in the highly competitive automobile industry for more than 25 years now. The production of these miniature cars began in France in 1983, and today, it has indeed swept almost the whole of Europe with its astounding design, efficiency and low maintenance benefits. Although this small car manufacturing firm suffered several setbacks, the company decided upon sticking to the task of expanding its market share under the brand name - Mega. Most of the Aixam models are electrically operated automobiles which make it more sought after in today's world which is deeply concerned about the climate change. However, despite the high popularity and satisfaction levels among its customers, the Aixam cars have its own set of drawbacks which a customer needs to be concerned about.
The Aixam models are run by a low power engine which is usually a two cylinder diesel variant. This means that the speeds at which one commutes in an Aixam half-body car could be much lesser than its other half-body counter parts. The maximum speeds of the Aixam cars is somewhere around 60 Km/hr, while most of the models are projected to have even lesser top speeds making the commute, especially long distance ones, a gruesome one. Although the compact size of this mini-car, adds to its advantages like lesser requirement for garage space and that it can be easily maneuvered, the size ends up being a disadvantage in most cases. Most of the Aixam cars are designed as two-seater vehicles and a smart buyer would even prefer any other mini car for the same price which could seat four passengers at a time. Even though, some Aixam cars come with four seats, the interiors seem to be too compact, making it a congested and uncomfortable ride for its passengers.
Another major drawback with these electrically-driven mini cars is that you need to have a recharge point which provides the sufficient electricity to charge the battery incase of emergency situations where you Aixam car falls short in its charge levels. Thus, the electric operated Aixam models suffer a setback when it comes to long distance and cross-country rides. An Aixam car would not be the right choice for you, if you are a street parker as recharging your battery becomes a tough task at hand. Also, the cost of renting a battery or most of the electric cars are not pocket friendly which makes the conventional fuel driven small cars a smarter option, only if you do not worry about your contribution to the carbon emission control.

In brief, even though the Aixam cars are filled with plenty of feel-good factors and benefits which have been more than enough to sweep the entire continent of Europe with its irresistible design and appropriate application of technology, they come as a package filled with sufficient drawbacks and a smart buyer would always show a thumbs-down to an Aixam car if he considers it as a set of problems which could include driving a slow, extremely small, almost totally noise-free , real-life version of a toy car with a battery!
